Manasota Adventist Community Services is frequently looking for visionary and strategic leaders, who resonate with the mission of the organization, to serve on the Board of Directors.

Our Mission

Manasota Adventist Community Services holds dear the dignity of every human being and believes that society benefits when each person succeeds in maximizing full potential.  We are committed to provide tangible help and support to individuals and families in need throughout our service area affording them an opportunity for a brighter future, to fulfill their dreams, and in the process transforming the community.

A Board Member's selection is based upon several factors, including:
  • Individual competancies (which may include one or more of the following: financial experience, leadership qualifications, non-profit experience, governance abilities, fundraising, etc)
  • Available openings on the Board of Directors
  • A commitment to serve the greater Sarasota-Bradenton community
  • Community involvement and ties
  • The current organizational needs

Qualifications

The following are the expectations for the Board of Directors, collectively, and individually:
  • Assist in fundraising
  • Adopt and maintain sound financial policies and practicies
  • Promote awareness of MACS among the community
  • Provide visionary leadership to the organization
  • Develop, assess, and update comprehensive strategic plans
  • Review the organization's mission and formulate plans in harmony with the organization's mission and vision.
  • Attend no fewer than 4 meetings annually
  • Participate in giving financially and voluntarily (no minimum requirements)
